Homework

Homework is an important required component for Middle School Spanish.  I review homework to evaluate overall comprehension of the topics covered in class.  Students who put forth the effort to complete their assignments will do better on tests/quizzes.  Homework is also a way for students to relearn and review material covered in class and to prepare for tests/quizzes.  Hence, homework accounts for 25% of a student's overall grade.  Homework must be completed in its entirety and be submitted on time in order to receive full credit (100).  Penalties will be assessed for incomplete or late assignments receiving a grade of 75.  Once a unit of study is completed, late homework relevant to that unit will not be accepted and result in a zero grade.

Please follow these additional homework guidelines:

*Use legible, neat handwriting.
*Use appropriate school heading. 
*Label assignments with page and exercise number.
*Answer questions using complete sentences.
*Write textbook exercises in their entirety (i.e., write the complete exercise in a fill-in-the-blank and/or include the    questions in a question-and-answer exercise).  For multiple choice exercises, provide answers using complete sentences.

Make-up Assignments

When not in class, students are responsible for getting missed assignments and completing work in a timely manner.  Because I am a mobile teacher going from class to class,students are responsible for coming to my office (Lower School building, 2nd floor, Room 206) to obtain necessary handouts after dismissal until 3:30 pm.

Daily homework assignments are posted below by class schedule.

May 16 - Complete handout given in class today.  Study conjugations of ir, dar and estar for QUIZ on Monday, May 21st.

May 14 - Complete p. 101A.  Copy questions and write answers using complete sentences.  Remember to use first person (yo) in your answers since the questions are using second person (tú).

May 2 - Complete p. 100D (write entire paragraph or identify subject with the answer).  Read story and answer questions on p. 104.  Answers should be in Spanish using complete sentences.

April 30 - Study -Ar endings and conjugation for verbs ser and ir for QUIZ on Wednesday, May 2.

April 25 - Test scores were discussed with students today.  For homework, complete p. 92 A.
  
April 23 - Complete study guide for p. 90-91.

April 16 - Complete p. 75 E.  Study conjugation process, verb vocabulary, and -AR endings for QUIZ on Monday, April 23rd.

April 2 - Finish class exercise on p.78 activity A.  Please have written answers in Spanish using complete sentences for all six questions.

February 1 - Complete handouts, Subject Pronouns and Practica con Pronombres.

January 30 - Continue to study pronouns, forms of ser, and telling time.

January 25 - Complete p.56 A, B and p. 57 B; due on Monday, Jan. 30th.  Continue to study subject pronouns and forms of the verb ser for future quizzes. 

January 23 - Make corrections to p. 53 A and B; submit on Wednesday.
