February 13, 2012

• Remember to study for your quiz tomorrow on Arthropods!
• It will include......general characteristics that all arthropods share, writing the stages of complete metamorphosis and incomplete metamorphosis, and the 5 phyla and the examples for each group. We went over this in class.

February 10, 2012

• Study for your quiz on Tuesday, February 14. We went over the necessary material to review and learn for the quiz.
• Students should be reviewing your notes everyday. We have covered arthropods in general, crustaceans and insects so far during the week.

• Students took the test today. We will continue with the second half of the Animal unit.

January 31, 2012

• Due to the delayed schedule, I did not see the 7th grades today.
• The students should study for their test. They should review the notes that they have from class.
• For students who have been absent, you will take your quizzes tomorrow.

January 30, 2012

• Study for your test on a daily basis. Review your notes and quizzes. This quiz will not have labeling parts on it. It will be content based.
• Students who have been absent will take their make up quizzes tomorrow.

• Continue to review your notes about the worms and mollusks.

January 23, 2012

• Students will have a quiz on Wednesday. We went over the information today. They wrote down the guide questions and vocabulary for which they will be responsible.It will be about some general information, specific vocabulary and on the sponge and cnidarian groups.
• There will be another quiz on Friday, January 27. It will be about labeling the parts of the sponge, hydra and jellyfish. Students already have the diagrams from previous class sessions.

• All students should be reviewing notes from class every day. They have to learn the parts of the sponge, hydra, and jellyfish.
• Homework: Finish filling in the term/word for the description on the handout " Invertebrates - Sponges, Coelenterates adn Worms".

January 17, 2012

• Students are to finish workbook pages 123 - 126 "Animal Symmetry". This is due tomorrow.
• Students should review all notes given in class.
• They should also know the parts of classification by heart and in order. ( Kingdom, Phylum, Class, Order, Family, Genus and species )

January 11, 2012

• Students have begun Chapter 7 - Animals. They do not have homework tonight.

• No Homework - Students took their midterm today.

January 6, 2012

• All 7th graders have had the opportunity in class to write out the definitions and answer the questions that were on the study guide for the midterm exam. Students should complete the study guide and study from it this weekend. The study guide answers will be collected for a completion grade on Monday prior to the midterm exam.

January 4, 2012

• Students know what will be on the midterm. We will complete the study guide partially in class and the rest for homework this week.
