Middle School Parent Volunteer OpportunitiesWe depend on our families to make our school great! Please contact your child's homeroom teacher if you would like to volunteer. Here are some of the ways that parents help:
Grade Parent-Our Grade Parents assist the teacher personally with field trip planning, party planning, service projects, and Young at Heart lunches.
End of Year Picnic- At the end of the school year, each grade level will have a day long picnic celebration. Parents may help by choosing a park location, making reservations for the park, organizing a lunch/cookout and refreshments, organizing activities, games, sports, and/or crafts for the day. Clubs-We always appreciate parent assistance and participation in our clubs. If you are interested in helping, please let the advisor know. Art Works-Our Art Works program exposes children to Art History and famous artists that are relevant to what they are studying in the core courses. Lessons and accompanying power point presentations are already prepared! Middle School Art Works occurs only 4 times a year, and at least one teacher will stay to assist and supervise. Big/Little Buddies-Four times a year, middle school students pair with lower school buddies to perform a faith-centered service project. To complete these projects, we need additional parent help. At least two teachers will be there to supervise. Teacher Support-Middle School teachers are in need of support in copying papers, preparing for our Open House each year, and other time-consuming tasks. We are appreciative of anyone who can spare some time to help! Drivers/Chaperones-In each class, we will go on field trips. We are in need of drivers and/or chaperones for all of them.
Sports-See Mr. Searcy, Athletic Director, if you are interested in helping with athletics and/or PAC, the Panther Athletic Club.
Protecting God's Children and Background Check: All volunteers that work with children are required by the Diocese of Charlotte to participate in the “Protecting God’s Children” program. Please click here to view our school webpage for more information on how to register for an upcoming class.
