My name is Kris Boberg and I have been teaching for about 15 years. I
graduated from UNCW with a bachelor's degree in Elementary Education. I
then moved to Charlotte, N.C. where I taught 3rd grade for six years. In
2000, I decided to move back to Wilmington to be closer to family. I have
been teaching 5th grade since then at Sunset Park Elementary. In 2002, I
obtained my National Board Certification in Middle Childhood Generalist. In
2006, I graduated from UNCW with a master's degree in Elementary Education.
I have been married for 4 years to Jeff and we have 2 wonderful
children--a handsome little boy, Harper, who is three years old and a
gorgeous little girl, Bella, who is one year old. In addition, we
have a fun-loving and energetic dog named Cooper. Needless to say, we are
very busy!!!
My hobbies and interests are spending time with my family and friends,
reading, boating, going to the beach, shopping for shoes, playing golf and
watching DUKE basketball!!
I am thrilled to be a new member of the Parsley Elementary School family and
look forward to working with the children, parents, and staff.
My mission is to be a facilitator of your child's learning process--to help
him/her stretch their thinking...to let them know that learning is not
always in a book. I will provide a positive, safe, and challenging learning
environment where successes will be achieved and celebrated throughout the
year.
