Spelling: 10 words plus 2 bonus words. Each night choose 1 way to use your
words. Use each way only once a week.

• Use each word in a sentence- underline the spelling word.
• Choose 5 words and look up the meaning in the dictionary. Write the
meaning.
• Write the words antonym (opposite) and synonym (similar). Then tell
which of the two it is- either antonym or synonym. Example: sad- happy-
antonym
• Have a parent or adult give you a pretest. Write each misspelled word
it 5 times. Parent or adult MUST sign the pretest.
• Write each word 5 times.
• Write a story using the words- underline the words.
• Pick 5 words and incorporate them into a math word problem. Example:
mother: My mother had 4 cookies. She ate 1 of them. How many are left?
• Answer: 4-1= 3 (students must solve their problems)
• Type out words on the computer- type each word 3 times.
• Be creative with your words. Use arts and crafts to create your words.
Math: Either a worksheet or problems from the book.
Reading: Read for 20 minutes.
