Announcing: We will be under construction during the 2011-2012 school year
as we build a gymnasium/performing arts facility and additional
classrooms.
We will begin offering all day Pre-K in 2012. Students must be
4 years of age by Aug. 31, 2012 to be eligible to register.
Welcome to St. Mark Catholic School, a unique school family. We are about
to begin our seventh year, my fifth here. We are at a great point! Our
middle school has taken off nicely. This year we have hired an Assistant
Principal who will also serve as our Athletic Director. Welcome Mr. Holman.
Catholic Identity:
St. Mark students are encouraged to practice the principles of social justice
and participate in service projects throughout the year: weekly food drives
for canned goods, letter and packages for servicemen, cards for prison
ministry, project shoebox and many more. Students participate in weekly mass,
October Living Rosary, May Crowning and other liturgies throughout the year.
Families are always welcome. The school uses the new Sadlier religion series
and Benziger Family Life program in the spring for 5th grade.
We have strong academic programs, a committed faculty and staff.
extracurricular activities for the children have grown and the school now
particpates in league competition in volleyball, soccer, basketball, tennis
and lacrosse. In addition to this we be restarting our girls' running club
and we hope to start a basetball team this spring. For the younger students
we offer t-ball and Little Lion's soccer.
What's new at school? more Mimio boards in classrooms, 2 additional classroom
netbook portable labs, Discovery online Science in grades 6-8. W e just
experienced our Advanc-Ed , SACSCASI QAR visit and are happy to
report that we have been recommended for reaccreditation to the year 2016
Friends of St. Mark- As we go forward with construction we welcome gifts to
help furnish and equip the new classroom and gym. Memorial placques will
recognize significant support.
