geese.

Language Arts: Take home your story about the strange animal on your desk and 
read it with your parents. Ask them for help to make sure your ideas are 
clearly understood. Ask them to check for organization, grammar mechanics 
(including punctuation, indenting paragraphs, and capitalization) descriptive 
language, sticking to the prompt, and creating an interesting beginning and a 
reflective conclusion.
Check for spelling to make sure that any of this week's spelling words used 
in the story are spelled correctly.
Please--do not re-write your story but do edit it for changes. Changes may be 
made in pen to make it easier to read.
Bring in a book for D.E.A.R.

Grammar: Workbook page 46. Remember to change the f to a ve when a noun ends 
in f. If you take the singular version of the noun loaf (like loaves of 
bread) and put it into the possessive form you only put an apostrophe and an 
s at the end of the word. You can say that the icing on the loaf of banana 
bread is lemony. The loaf's icing is very tasty. But, if you have more than 
one loaf you would write the loaves' icing is very tasty.

paper. Label your illustrations. The illustrations can be black and white or

in their Green North Carolina Social Studies Book. Pick 8 of the state 
symbols and write the name of the symbol and what it represents. Example:
