IMPORTANT DATES TO REMEMBER

February 8: Early College presentations for SD students
Early College APPLICATIONS available in guidance NOW!

February 15: DHS meetings at SD for students (AM) with parent sessions in PM
Parent Session Times: 
10:00 am, 11:00 am, 12:30 pm, 2:00 pm
February 20: Early College meeting for parents of interested students

March 2: Early College Applications due to Mrs. Gary


DAVIE HIGH SCHOOL REGISTRATION PROCESS

All 8th grade students will register for classes at DHS.

  • Registration for 9th grade classes will take place in February
  • Information sessions for students and parents will be held at SDMS (Feb. 15)
  • Students and parents will be advised on course selection and on high school transition
  • Students/parents will receive registration booklet and registration worksheet
  • DHS Open House will be held February 23

DAVIE COUNTY EARLY COLLEGE HIGH SCHOOL
APPLICATION PROCESS

Students interested in the Early College MUST complete all paperwork and additional steps to be considered as an APPLICANT. 
Applicants to the Early College will also register for classes at Davie High.
  • The Early College application and selection process will begin February 8
  • The Early College will share an introductory presentation at SDMS for students and will hold an evening parent info session
  • The application requires: completion of the application form, student essay, parent essay, 3 teacher recommendations, and for students to take the Accuplacer (placement test) at DCCC.  (Scores are used for course selection, not strictly for admission)
  • The Early College will notify students of their application/selection status in the spring
