October is going to be great. We have many field trips planned. We are
going to see Beauty and the Beast at Imaginon, as well as taking a visit to
Windy Hill Orchard and Carrigan Farm.
On Mondays, We work on spelling the Dolch list by using reading and writing
activities with these words. The students practice spelling missed words with
manipulatives and by writing on the white board. We will also work with
writing skills and community words.
Our class works on Math on Tuesdays. Our emphasis will be money and time.
We also will work on adding with and without calculators and calendars.
We will focus on reading comprehension. We are working on Accelerated
Reader in the library. We also use books on tape or books on DVD.
Thursdays are packets day. We also work on life skills and following
directions.
Fridays could be a community outing and/or life skills, games, cooking, or
conversational skills.
