Hello! I am Debbie Hamrick and it is my privilege to be your child's first
grade teacher this year. I have a bachelors of Science degree in Education
from Radford University in Virginia. I have been teaching first grade at St.
Raphael's for 12 years. Nine of those years were half day positions, teaching
the Reading and Language Arts curriculum. This allowed me to spend more time
with my husband Don, and my two boys Geoff and Chris. Now that they are both
attending college, I am so excited to be back in the classroom as a full time
teacher. I truly love being with young children and watching them grow both
academically and spiritually. I have also taught Kindergarten at St. Pius X
Catholic School in Greensboro. In my free time, I like to cook, decorate,
play with my dog Ali, and visit the beach at Emerald Isle. It is my home away
from Raleigh....I spent time there this summer; I am all relaxed and
expecting to have a fantastic school year!
