Welcome parents and students! My name is Coley Polizzi and I grew up a native
Floridian in Coral Gables, FL. As a graduate of Appalachian State University
in Boone, NC, I received my B.A. in English and minored in Spanish. I
furthered my education by taking several extra semesters at Florida
International University.
After college, I worked for a non-profit organization as the Director of
Communications. Although this was a rewarding career, I always wanted to work
with children and was then recruited by Gulliver Academy in Coral Gables,
FL. After five years of service, I moved to Jensen Beach to be closer to my
mother, father and grandfather. I then taught English, grades 5-8, at St.
Andrew's School and also coached softball. It is wonderful to be back in the
beautiful state of North Carolina. This will be my third year at St.
Raphael's as a Middle School Language Arts teacher.
My classroom goal is to enable each child to become an independent thinker
utilize organizational skills, analyze different genres of literature and
become strong,effective writers.

successful year!
