I graduated in 1991 with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Management
from Mt. Olive College. My heart was where the children were so I returned
to college at Campbell University. There I received my teaching license and
a Masters Degree in Elementary Education. I began teaching at North Duplin
Elementary in Duplin County during the 1993-1994 school year. I have taught
first grade, second grade and third grade. I enjoy the age of my students.
They are still discovering so much while making links with themselves and the
outside world.I represented White Oak Elementary for the 2006-2007 school
year as the Teacher of the Year.
I am married to the most wonderful man in the world, John Dunn. I have two
super boys. One is twelve and the other one is ten. I am so blessed. One
of those many blessings has been my family. We attend Bethlehem United
Methodist Church in Bogue.
I want each child to feel as though they are a part of our classroom family.
Children need nurturing in many ways and it is my goal to meet as many of
those needs during the school day as I possibly can.
