3rd Grade  Word Study
HOMEWORK    



Directions:  The following are your word study activities each week.  
Please keep this sheet in your binder (or word study notebook) as 
your guide.  All work should be done in your notebook.  

Monday
	Write all your words (in their sorts) three times each

Tuesday  and Wednesday (Pick one choice per day)
	Write all your words as pyramids.
	Write all of your words in ABC order.
	Write all your words 2 times in rainbow colors.  
	Ex: fast fast
	Choose 10 words and write the definitions.
	Write a story using 10 of your words.  Underline the words.
  	Draw pictures to show 10 of your words.
	An activity from www.spellingcity.com (if possible print out  
	 and attach to spelling notebook)	
	Make up your own creative assignment.

	Have a parent  give you a practice test.  Remember to spell 
your 	words correctly AND write them in the correct sort.  If you 
miss 	a word, write it 5 times correctly as extra practice..
