Greetings from Miss Whalen! Thank you for visiting our classroom site. It
is my goal to make this year the most successful one for each and every one
of your children. I moved to Cary about eight years ago, but my roots are
in Westchester County New York. I am a mom to two wonderful little boys. Sean
Owen who is 5 will be in kindergarten at Weatherstone this year. Jayden Jon
is 2 years old and loves anything that moves, especially tractors. I went to
college and received my undergraduate degree in education at the University
of Delaware. There I majored in both Elementary Education and Special
Education. I have also received my Masters from NCSU in Curriculum
Instruction and Supervision. Last year I recieved my National Board
Certification as a Middle Childhood Generalist. However, what I love to do
best is teach and learn from your children. Lets have a wonderful year!
