Salt Dough Recipe1 1/2 cups salt 6 teaspoons cream of tarter (or alum) 3 cups all purpose flour 3 tablespoons cooking oil 3 cups water
Mix all ingredients in a large, heavy pan. Cook over low heat, stirring constantly. Mixture will become stiff. Keep stirring until mixture cleans pan like play dough. (This is a really good exercise for your arms!) Remove from heat; knead like bread until pliable as it cools. (It should not be gooey or sticking to your fingers.) Store in a plastic bag. Doesn't need to be refrigerated. Please do not add food coloring. We will paint them when they dry. THANK YOU FOR YOUR HELP! |
