My name is Bobbie Marroquin, and I will be your child’s first grade
teacher. This is my third year teaching at Wm R Davie. I have taught 2nd
grade for 3 years at Cooleemee Elementary. Before that I taught in Iredell
County schools for 4 years. I am a wife and mother of 4 children. I have 2
boys, one who is married with a baby boy, and 2 girls, one is a junior in
high school and the other in 4th grade here at Wm R Davie. My big excitement
this summer was becoming a grandmother for the first time. I am pleased to be
here, this is my home town school and have enjoyed my own children attending
here. I am thrilled to have your child this year in my class.
I love my job and continue to do what I can to further my education
to be a better teacher. I feel obtaining higher education will better prepare
me to teach your child with the ever changing curriculum and diversity of the
classrooms. I have recently obtained my Master’s Degree in education.
I plan for this to be an exciting year with a lot of fun activities
to make learning more enjoyable for your child.
If you ever feel you need to talk or ask me about anything you don’t
understand my door is always open. I look forward to getting to know all my
students’ parents. I also encourage parents volunteering in my classroom. With
your support and cooperation I know your child will succeed in the 1st grade.
