Projects must contain a “pay it forward” focus – that is, they must be based on the concept of one person doing a favor for others, who in turn do favors for others, with the results growing exponentially – to be considered in the grant making process. Through Schools In Need, nonprofit organizations and Title 1 schools offering learning enrichment programs for underprivileged, displaced and at-risk children can obtain newly manufactured educational products. On this site, charities and schools may locate a wide assortment of school equipment, furniture and many other materials needed to outfit a classroom or accommodate an extra-curricular educational program. http://www.giftsinkind.org/nssea/default.asp Jordan Fundamentals Grant Program-Under the expanded Jordan Fundamentals format, the program will be extended an additional 5-years through 2009. Teachers working in grades 1-12 are now eligible, improved from the previously eligible teachers working in grades 6-12. The grant amount of $2,500 each given to 400 recipients will remain the same, totaling $1 million annually donated to education by Jordan through the Jordan Fundamentals program.
