Congratulations to all students who made Honor Roll for first quarter! We
will be showing our gratitude with a Breakfast in their honor on 11-3-09.
The PTA is promoting Box Tops for Education at Heritage because it is an easy
way to earn cash for the school with products people use every day! For every
Box Top brought in, the school will get $0.10 cash and we can earn up to
$20,000.00 per school year. We are doing two different incentives during the
school year. The first is a Box Tops Challenge with Wake Forest-Rolesville
Middle and Wakefield Middle. The school with the most box tops will win. The
second is a contest within the school that will be homeroom against homeroom
in each grade level. There will be contests throughout the year. The current
contest is from now until December 11 th . The homeroom in each grade level
that brings in the most box tops will win ice cream at lunch.
PLEASE NOTE THAT OUR FIELD TRIP DATE IS IN THE PROCESS OF CHANGING. DUE TO
SCHEDULING CONFLICTS THE DATE WILL BE MOVED BACK.
WE HAVE SENT HOME A LETTER EXPLAINING UP TO DATE FIELD TRIP INFORMATION.
PLEASE BE SURE TO CHECK WITH YOUR STUDENT FOR THE LETTER.

Maintaining a safe environment that is conducive to learning and free of
unnecessary distractions, is a top priority at Heritage Middle School.

Our current focus needs to be on our 8th graders successfully completing
their EOGs and their 8th grade year. Please help us maintain a school
atmosphere where these goals are the priority. Policing for dress code
compliance at school takes up valuable time. Thanks for supporting our
goals!
Due to theft taking place in the school, our administration has decided to
have ladies place their purses and gentleman their bags into their locked
lockers. They can pick them up if they need them before they go to the
bathroom, and return them afterward. Since purses were many of the items
stolen, this should help eliminate this problem.
As far as jackets, the students are allowed to wear hoodies, sweatshirts, or
sweaters, but no jackets with a lining. This is because some students
bring big heavy jackets into the classroom, and they can be distracting and
take up a lot of room.
Please make sure we have a list of any updated information we may need for
our records. Please share this information with other Panther parents if
they are not on our e-mail list.
INDIVIDUAL CLASS WEBSITES
Check the individual core subject pages for updates on class tests, projects,
quizzes, and etc.
AGENDAS
Students should write all of their assignments down in their agendas. Each
core class places their homework assignments on the board. The students are
responsible for updating their agendas daily. Please check your child's
agenda daily for homework assignments or to see what assignments or projects
are upcoming.
ABSENCES
It is vital for your child to be at school. If your son/daughter is out
sick,
please send a note to school upon their return. It is the students
responsibility to get and make up all work that was missed.
