I have been teaching at Pleasant Union for 12 years, this will be my 13th
year. I was a teacher
assistant for 5 years in Mrs. Pitcavage's 1st grade class and then took my
own 2nd grade class 7
years ago, where I have been ever since. This is a great school to be a part
of and I love teaching 2nd
graders!
I received my degree from the Univ. of Northern Colorado. My major was
Elementary Education
with a minor in Child Psychology.
My husband and I moved our family to North Carolina, from San Diego, 17 years
ago. We love North
Carolina! I have two children ages 21 and 15. My oldest daughter, Alanna,
is a senior in college. She
is attending UNC-Greensboro, where she is majoring in music performance and
music education.
My youngest daughter, Savanna is a sophomore in high school at Wake Forest
Rolesville High and is a
sports enthusiast. Her main sport is fast pitch softball but she also plays
basketball.
My husband is a commercial architect and works for a firm in Cary.

To help the children grow in ways they never thought they could! I want them
to be motivated to give
me their very best. I want them to be able to look back on their 2nd grade
year and say "I learned so
much and had so much fun. I worked hard and it was a great year!"
