a. Conversation activity – Interview using conversation cards. (Everyone
starts with 5 points – if students speak English, they lose a point.) Work
with class to form the questions and vocabulary needed for the activity.
b. Practice “¿Cúantos años tienes?” and “Tengo ____años. (Students write down a two digit number on a paper. Model for students. Then students converse with 5 classmates to learn their imaginary age. (oral and written grade).
c. When students have finished, point to a person and ask “¿Cuántos años tiene?” (A student who has talked with this individual should answer the question with “tiene”)
d. Ej. 18 (p. 35) written (Students put the dialogue in order.)
e. Practice counting (p. 36) (Write numbers from 1 – 30 in notebook, if not already written.
f. Bring an item between .50 and $1.00 or a white elephant. (Subasta)

foods) and game. (Use conversation cards to record conversation points.
Also divide the class into teams by rows and record winners. Students
receive a point for correctly identifying a food item and for finding the
“mosca.”)
