Please check your child's bookbag daily.
ATTENDANCE
Your child’s regular and prompt attendance is very important. Many of the
activities we do are group oriented and interactive, which makes it very
difficult to make up schoolwork. Illness and emergencies are, of course, an
exception. Please remember to call the office to let us know your child will
be absent.
CHANGE IN ADDRESS/PHONE NUMBER
Please notify the school if you or your emergency contact change address or
phone number. It is important that we are able to get a hold of somebody in
case of an emergency. Also, please practice your address and phone number
with your child. It is very important your child knows this information.
MONEY
When you send money with your child for lunch, supplies, field trip, books,
etc., please make sure it is sent in a sealed envelope or baggie with the
following information:
1. my name (Mrs. Glodowski)
2. your child’s first and last name
3. what it is for
This will help me out tremendously!
PERMISSION SLIPS
Throughout the year we take field trips where we walk to and from our
destinations. Please fill out the attached form and return it to school with
your child as soon as possible. Thank you!
Dress your child appropriately for the weather. Listen to the radio or TV for
possible
late starts or school cancellations.
All medication must be kept in a locked file in the Nurse's office.
SHOES
Students need tennis shoes for PE or their grade will be docked. I will send
home a PE schedule. Please dress your child in tennis shoes on PE days or
send tennis shoes in their bookbag to change into.
BELONGINGS
Please make sure your child has a large book bag to hold all their wonderful
school “stuff.” Remember to check the book back daily for homework, notes,
art projects, and completed papers! It is important to label all of your
child’s belongings, book bag, coat, boots, etc.
BOOK ORDERS
Your child will bring home a form to order books about once a month. If you
wish to order, simply fill out the form and send cash or a check made out to
Scholastic Book Clubs. These orders are provided as a convenient way for
parents to buy quality books at low prices. As an added bonus, for every
dollar spent, I earn points, which are used to purchase books for classroom
use. This is a “win-win” situation because you get quality literature at a
low price and you are helping to provide quality literature for the classroom.
Of course, you are never under any obligation to order.
