What do I do with the Reading Log?

Students keep track of the books they read by writing in the book's
title and the number of pages when they have FINISHED the book. As
they become more experienced with the different types of books, they
will also record the book in a box to show which GENRE it is.

What do I do if my child has forgotten books necessary for homework?

Your child has the phone numbers of several study buddies! They may
live close enough to borrow the book from them or get the question
from them. They may also take advantage of the reading time at the
start of each day to catch up!
Any questions, please give me a quick call at home!

What is a demand piece of writing?

This is a piece of work that your child completes in a certain
period of time on a given topic. Brainstorming is still shared but
then the piece is completed in one, self-edited draft. It gives one
snapshot in the album of what your child can do as a writer!
