Our school tomato project has really taken off this summer! With the help of some parents, particularly Mrs. Yolanda Weirsma, we have grown our own tomatoes! At the beginning of the summer the plants looked weak and we all feared they would not survive in our Newfoundland climate. Much to our surprise, the tomato plants grew and produced tomatoes! We are still growing the tomato plants and we are watching the weather for frost warnings. We also grew other tomato plants from seedlings and they produced tomatoes as well. These tomatoes have turned red and now we have to eat them. This is very exciting and we will continue to up-date you of our developments through Liam's blog.
