Hi Everyone!I hope you all had another enjoyable weekend! This week we will be covering many of the concepts that we did not cover last week due to the snow days. Here is what is in store for you!In Math, you will continue to work on learning new multiplication strategies including the relationship between multiplication and division, the doubling strategy, and the skip counting strategy. Be sure to continue to practice your multiplication tables each night for good results! In Language Arts, you will get together in your theater performance groups and finalize your sketches and cues for scenes one, two, and three of the play. Its time to start gathering props for the different scenes as well. Please see the Props Team with any lists of items that need to be collected for the first three scenes. In Social Studies this week, you will be working to complete your assignments using Microsoft PowerPoint. The due date for them to be finished is February 15th. Then you will focus on presenting your assginment to the class.In Science, you will explore physical changes of matter (example: water into water vapor). What is a physical change? Do you know? How do you think refrigeration uses physical changes to improve our living conditions?In Health, Winter Safety is up for discussion! Can you think of ways to stay safe in the winter? You will be brainstorming ideas about and discussing this important topic with your teamates.In French, you have already learned each Olympic sport. Now you will learn about the equipment the atheletes use to do or play a given Olympic sport!We may have a special guest coming into our class this week to do and interesting Valentine's Day activity with us and Ms. Cole from Roots of Empathy will be paying us a visit!
