Hello. My name is Cathy Finn-Pike and I have been the Principal of Rennie's
River Elementary School for the last ten years. I very much enjoy my job,
largely due to the fact that each and every day I have the opportunity to
work with wonderful students, parents and teachers.
I am married with two children (a son, Matthew and a daughter, Jessica). We
have three pets: two dogs and a cat. Sometimes our home is a very busy place
indeed!! My hobbiesinclude reading, painting and computers! I also love
photography!!
One of the greatest parts of my job is seeing the happy faces in our school
each day! I like working directly with students and teachers and often have
the opportunity to visit and work with classes. This is perhaps my favorite
part of my job!!
Our school goal is quite simple. We want every child to be the best that
he/she can be. Our school mission statement is:
"At Rennie’s River Elementary, it is our mission to improve student learning
and academic achievement through a focus on differentiated instruction and
assessment while ensuring to promote a school wide healthy living culture with
strong connections/partnerships to our parents and community."
We work hard each day to ensure that our mission statement becomes a reality!
Currently, our school has three school development goals:
1. Diversified Learning and Assessment
2. Healthy and Active Living
3. Strong partnerships with home
We believe that students, parents and teachers work together effectively at
our school and the result is continual school improvement.
