Happy Monday!
Here are a few reminders for this week:
- There are no classes for students on Monday due to a PD Day.
- School Lunch Envelopes are due on Tuesday, February 14th.
- Janeway Day is Tuesday, February 14th. Please bring along $1.
- Please return pink read-a-thon sheets to school every day.
- Please return pledge sheets and money to school by Thursday.
The grade ones will be celebrating Valentine's Day on Tuesday. All students are encouraged to bring valentines to exchange with their classmates. A class list was sent home last week to ensure that noone is left out. You can also find our class list on this website. If you have any questions, please contact me via karenknight@esdnl.ca
Thank-you so much for your on going support with our Read A thon. I am so pleased with the amount of reading that is taking place both at school and at home!!! As well, pledge sheets and money is beginning to be passed in. Our class is doing wonderful :) We have only one more week to try to win for the most minutes read in primary and/or the most money collected!!! Let's keep up all the great work and hopefully we will win a class prize on Friday at our Fundraising Assembly!
Kindness and Friendship will continue to be the main themes of our classrooms. Why not ask your child to tell you about our Friendship Chain that was started last week? Mr. Hounsell and I are noticing many acts of kindness and our chain is getting really long! I can't wait to see how long it is at the end of this week! We will also be talking to the children about Bullying and we will complete several activities focusing on this important topic.
Friday will be a busy day at Rennie's River Elementary. Our Grade Two classes will be hosting our Friendship Assembly @ 10:30 and our Fundraising Assembly will be at 1:30 in our school gym. As always, families are more than welcome to attend both assemblies.
