Bonjour les amis! Welcome to our class web site!
My name is Annette Warren and I am the Kindergarten French Immersion teacher
at St. Edward's School in Kelligrews. I have been teaching for ten years
in such places as Nunavut, Japan, Marystown and Grand Falls-Windsor. I live
with my husband, Mark, and our three-year-old son, Simon, in Kelligrews,
Conception Bay South, Newfoundland. Simon is our only child, and I love
playing with him when I go home after school because he makes me laugh so
much.
In our spare time, my husband and I like to go outside hiking to see animals
in their natural environment. I also enjoy canoeing, camping, computers,
reading, cooking, and travelling. I am learning to play the guitar, and some
day I hope to be able to play well, but it takes a lot of practice! I
decided to be a teacher when I was a little girl, and love working with the
boys and girls in my class who are learning French.
We are expecting a new baby on August 27th, 2010, and so I will be on
maternity leave from September 2010 to June 2011. I'll then be on Deferred
Salary Leave from September 2011 to June 2012 if all goes well. I'll look
forward to working with the kindergarten French Immersion students at St.
Edward's again, beginning in September 2012.
My mission for the class is to create a safe, caring and fun learning
environment where my students can complete all of the curriculum outcomes in
the provincial kindergarten curriculum and have fun doing it!
