My first job here at Allenstown Elementary School was as a long-term
substitute teacher in Mrs. Hardt's third grade class. She was out on
maternity leave for eight weeks, and I had the pleasure of teaching her
class! The next year I taught a seventh grade Reading/Language
Arts class at Armond Dupont School, and was also a Reading/Math tutor here
at Allenstown Elementary. I was so excited when I was asked to permanently
join the staff at AES as a member of the Kindergarten Team! This will be my
10th year of teaching at A.E.S., and I look forward to the new
challenges and opportunities awarded to me by having the
privilege of teaching your children!
On a more personal note, I have four children and eight grandchildren. My
oldest, Jason, is married to a wonderful, beautiful girl, Lynsey, who is
from England. He is a Captain in the Air Force and is stationed at Eglin
Air Force Base in Ft. Walton, Florida, but is now serving his country in
Iraq, and will return to the states in June. He and his wife have one son,
Cade, who turned one-year-old this past July 9th.
My oldest daughter, Sherry, is married to my son-in-law, Rodney, and they
have three beautiful daughters; Amber (10), Campbell (7), and Brady, (5).
Sherry graduated from Green Mountain College (where she received a
basketball scholarship!) and has a degree in business management. She works
at a mortgage company in Manchester.
My daughter, Diana, is a nurse at CMC Hospital in Manchester. She has an 8-
year-old son, Tyler, and her son, Pierce, had his 3rd birthday on
August 10th. She has a one-year-old girl, Danay, and a newborn son, Nathan.
Needness to say...she "is" busy!
Angela, the youngest, graduated three years ago from New England College with
a bachelor's degress in Communications, and moved to Sweden last January
with her "Swedish" fiance, Anders. She has become quite fluent speaking
Swedish, and has been fortunate to find a job with IKEA. I
will be glad when she decides to move back home....! I miss my "baby" girl!
I have had the opportunity of working in several schools in NH,
but my favorite, by far, is Allenstown! The support from the staff and
parents has been overwhelming, and the children always make me feel loved and
appreciated! I look forward to another successful year of teaching the
wonderful children of Allenstown!
