This is my fourth year teaching in Allenstown. I am certified
to teach Physical Education for Kindergarten through grade 12.
I teach P.E. for all grades 3 days each week here, Mon., Tues. and Weds.
I teach health to grades 1 & 2 on Thurs. and grades 3 & 4 on Fri.
I have been enjoying coaching high school tennis for several years, and
have enjoyed coaching elementary track, little league and instructional
basketball in the past.
I have two children of my own, ages 14 and 17 who keep me running
(or chauffeuring!). I enjoy a variety of sports and lifetime activities on
a regular basis, like tennis, cycling, rollerblading, ice skating, and
bowling. In my spare time, I volunteer for a youth theatre group.
I hope my students will enjoy being physically active for a lifetime
and realize that it is not only FUN, but a necessity for good health!!
KEEP MOVING!
In our physical education classes, students will learn to work effectively
with others while learning and improving movement forms, sports skills,
lifetime activities and even problem solving skills. Aside from content
knowledge, my goals are for students to have SAFE fun while remembering to
use positive phrases!
In Health classes, we are beginning a new curriculum called "The Great Body
Shop" that includes lessons in safety, hygiene, nutrition and drugs. My
goal is for students to learn many healthy habits and to make good choices.
