This is my 19th year of teaching at Allenstown Elementary School. I taught
Kindergarten for 5 years, First Grade for 11 years and Second Grade for two
years. I am very excited to be teaching First Grade this year. I come from a
family of teachers. My parents, my uncle, and aunt were teachers and now
both of my cousins are in the profession. I enjoy finding ways to help every
child achieve their goals.
My mission for the class this year is to help each child develop their
social, emotional, and academic skills. We will be working on these skills
to become lifelong learners and productive citizens.
We begin this mission by developing some classroom rules that will
help
us create an enjoyable learning environment. During the first weeks of
school
we discussed our hopes and dreams for the year. Through these discussions we
created the following rules to help us reach our goals.
