What if I lose my recorder?
You will need to purchase a new one, I'm sorry to say. We have extras at school that you can buy for the
original $9.00 charge. Or you can look for one at the Dollar Store, Craig's List, or borrow one from a
friend.

What if I lose my recorder book?
.I usually ask students to look really carefully for a week. Ask your bus driver, the Boys & Girls Club or
the After School Program. Look under your bed, in your desk, in your backpack, etc. After a week, if it
still hasn't shown up, I will photocopy the pages you need.

I forgot my recorder one week. Is it the end of the world?
Of course not! People - including me - forget things all the time. Forgetting your recorder once is no
big deal. But twice or three or more times - this will really affect your report card grade. Each 4th
grade classroom teacher counts a forgotten recorder as a missing homework assignment, and
students are sent to indoor recess for one day if they forget their recorder. So......don't forget!
