How often do we have homework?

Homework should be expected Monday through Thursday.  Some 
assignments may be required the next day and others may be due a 
day or two in the future.

What time is recess?

Recess is from 9:40-9:55 this year.  You will need a snack 
EVERYDAY.  Please be dressed appropriately for the weather.

Donations of individually wrapped snacks are greatly appreciated 
for days when some are left at home.

How can I support my child as they develop their reading skills?

Continue to model reading yourself and make frequent trips to the 
library together.  Establishing a bedtime reading ritual is a 
wonderful way in this busy world to spend quiet, tender moments 
with your little one.  Enjoy!

How do we celebrate birthdays?

We LOVE to celebrate each child's special day.  The birthday 
person can bring in a treat for the entire class that will be 
eaten at 9:30 which is before the 9:40 recess.  Please do not
send in anything containing nut products.  Thank you!
