I am 32 years old and have been married to my wonderful husband, Michael for 9
years. I was born in Massachusetts and moved to Alaska when I was 7 years old.
I graduated from the University of Wyoming in 2002 with my Bachelor of Arts
degree in elementary and early childhood education.
Immediately following graduation, we moved to Wilcox, Arizona, where I taught
1st grade for one year. We then moved to Texas in 2003, where I taught
kindergarten at a private school and then second grade at a public school for
five years. This past summer, my husband and I moved to New Hampshire, where I
am now the Accelerated Math and Enrichment (PACE) teacher at Grinnell
Elementary School in Derry.
My parents and siblings are all still living in Alaska. I have a 23 year old
sister named Sarah. She is an amazing singer and actress. She is married and
has two adorable daughters, Lily and Khayri. My brother, Eric, is 22. He
recently earned his degree in computer technology, and works on computers for
the mines in northern Alaska.
Some of my favorite things:
Hobbies: I enjoy traveling, playing games, "geocaching", bowling, playing
volleyball, swimming, going to movies, going to plays/musicals, exploring
other teacher's websites, dining out, and photography.
Favorite Places: Alaska and New England
Favorite Colors: purple, blue, and green!
Favorite Drink: Iced Tea (unsweet)
Favorite Restaurant: Texas Roadhouse
Favorite Meals: Grilled chicken salad (with extra tomatoes)
Favorite Desserts: Strawberry cake or brownies with walnuts
Favorite Season: Fall
Favorite Holiday: Christmas is my favorite. I love the cold weather, beautiful
lights, holiday music, and people's kind and caring spirit!
Favorite Flower: Any colorful bouquets - I really like green and purple roses,
Gerber daisies, and lilies.
Favorite Stores: Target, Kohl's, Bed, Bath & Beyond
Things I Collect: At home, I collect snowmen in the winter and
lighthouses/nautical things in the summer.
Favorite Music: I really enjoy country and pop music. I love the songs "My
Wish", and "Life Is A Highway" - I am also a huge fan of Kenny Chesney &
Rascal Flatts!
Favorite TV Shows: I really enjoy reality TV shows like The Amazing Race, The
Voice, and America's Got Talent. I also like Grey's Anatomy, and NCIS.
My mission is to provide each student with a quality educational program
that is both motivating and challenging, and to help each of my students to
develop the skills necessary to become life-long learners.
