November 27th--thanks for the amazing turkey feathers-they were
beautiful
and
we had many, many compliments on the bulletin
board!
The scarecrow
book is
coming around in the afternoon group-don't
forget to
read these
books with
your child--they are so excited and
proud of
them!
November 6, 2011-The
morning class has a class book
circulating and the
children have been very
excited to share it
with
their families. The
afternoon class will be
creating their own book
this
week, and it will
begin
circulating soon as
well.
Tomorrow,
the
afternoon children will be
bringing home a large turkey
feather
to
decorate. The theme is "We are
thankful for...." You can even
write
these words on your feather if you
want. Enjoy your time decorating
the
feather with your child and please
return it to school no later than
Monday
Nov. 14th. I'm looking forward to
displaying all the feathers on
our
bulletin board.
September 4, 2011
I will occasionally send home
family projects (such as the sunflower and
star
activities) to
correspond
with a particular theme. It's really
important
that the
projects not become
competitions between parents, but
rather, the
child's
creation (with
assistance).
We also create many, many
individual books in
class, as well
as group books.
These books are a
wonderful means to stay
up to speed with
our concepts in
class and to
spend quality time
reading with your child.
The whole group
books are
favorites, and
many of them are read over and over
in our classroom
library.
