Spring Trail Maintenance Hiking Club!
This club began in 2009 with a grant from the National Park Service and
Appalachian Trail Conservancy to purchase the tools necessary to work on the
trails. Our community partner for this club is the New Boston Conservation
Commission. Our students have worked on numerous conservation trails in New
Boston, our own New Boston Central School Trails, the Appalachian Trail in New
Hampshire, and we helped dig holes and plant native shrubs along the river and
on the trails behind the new Library in New Boston. Sign-up information is
distributed in April and trail work takes place during April and May.
