before other less important activities.
3. Make sure your child is prepared for school every morning:,
eat breakfast, pack homework, notes, school supplies, dress
appropriately.
4. CHECK THIS WEB SITE WEEKLY.

weekend.

What is the homework this week?
Your child was given a homework communication book, with a calnendar
and space for communication. Also there is a folder which will
contain the following weeks' homework, and notices. This will be
filled every Thursday. Please read all notices on Thursday
evening. Math homework will be due daily, but all other homework
will be due the following Wednesday. Please read the assignment
sheet in the Homework/Communication binder to see homework and
due dates.
What is the breakfast program?
A breakfast of cereal, milk and juice is available daily at
Northwest from 8:05 to 8:20 am for $1.10, or $.40 reduced, or
free for those who qualify for free lunch.
How much is hot lunch?
Hot lunch is $1.80 per day. Reduced/Free lunch applications
were sent home the first day of school. You may reapply any time
during the school year. Reduced lunch is $.40 per day. You can
ask me for anapplication any time.
When do I send in lunch money?
Lunch money can be paid at any time. Place lunch $ in an
envelope with child's name, 4V, and amount of money paid. When
your child chooses hot lunch with their lunch card, the money is
deducted from their account. If you pay $50.00, you will be
credited for $55.00.
What if I need to change my child's after school transportation?
Send a note with your child's full name, 4V, the way they will be
going home, and the way they usually go home. Example: My son Bob
Parks in class 4V will be picked up by Sue Parks today 9/14/07,
instead of taking bus #2. Sign and date the note.
What do I do if my child is going to be absent?
Call the school at 624-6321 and leave a message with your child's
name, grade and teacher. You may also call 624-6321 to request
work to be picked up at the end of the day, or sooner if
possible, or sent home with a sibling. It is important to make up
all work missed so a student will not fall behind.
