Popcorn words are the words that tend to "pop" up in our everyday reading.  These are also called sight words or high frequency words. 

As we begin our Scott Foresman Reading Street series, students will be introduced to popcorn words on a biweekly basis.  Various activities will be explored to assist your child in becoming familiar with recognizing these words.  We will post these words as they are introduced and your child will arrive home with a copy of the new words.
