Hello!
We want to take a moment to introduce ourselves to you. We are Mrs. Galpin
and Mrs. Pendergast! Having taught along side one another for three years
at PES, we are excited to be moving into kindergarten together.
Mrs. Galpin has been teaching for eight years. She has taught in
Connecticut, Nashua,NH and now is in her fourth year at PES. She has her
Master's degree in Elementary Education. Mrs. Galpin has a child entering
kindergarten this year so absolutely has the parent perspective in mind!
Mrs. Pendergast grew up in the town of Pelham and is happy to still call it
home. She holds her teaching certification in both Early Childhood
Education and Elementary Education. She is going into her thirteenth year
of teaching. She began her career in kindergarten but has spent her time at
PES teaching first and second grade. Mrs. Pendergast has two children, one
entering fifth grade and one entering first grade.
Our kindergarten classroom mission is to ensure a safe, nurturing
environment that fosters learning, independence and socialization. Always
at the heart of our classroom is what is best for each individual student.
Kindergarten is definitely a time of discovery and ample opportunities for
both hands on exploration and direct instruction are offered. We strive to
develop young minds and create life long learners.
