I graduated form the University of Vermont with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree in 1979. After
graduating I worked at the Medical Center Hospital of Vermont in Burlington and was the Head Nurse
in orthopedics until moving to Stamford, CT in 1982. I worked on a medical floor at The Stamford
Hospital, was a float nurse for many years and then settled into the maternal child unit. I loved working
with new mothers and babies. I later spent several years working in the intensive care nursery until I
became the Stamford Hospital's first Lactation Consultant.
I moved to Plainfield, NH with my husband and two sons in 1996. My boys were in grades 3 and 6 at
the time and that's when I fell in love with Plainfield School. I have been the school nurse here since
1997. I obtained my health educator certification in 1999. Interestingly, as a child I always wanted to
be a nurse or a teacher and now feel so fortunate I can do both!
Some of my interests include downhill skiing, kayaking, bicycling, knitting, listening to music, yoga and
gardening. I went skydiving with my son and husband when I turned 50! I have 2 Australian
Shepherds and 2 cats.
