Water Cycle in a Jar
This is a water cycle experiment. We
used: a large jar, a glass cup, warm water,
food coloring, plastic wrap, a rubberband,
two tiles, and an ice pack. Some of the warm
blue water evaporated. The water vapor rose
up to the plastic wrap at the top of the jar.
When it got cooled by the ice pack, it
condensed into water drops, clinging to the
plastic wrap. Then the droplets dripped into
the glass cup. That is called precipitation. It
was cool to try out this experiment. |
