I'm very excited to be teaching third grade. I've been
teaching at St. Catherine's for,let's just say, many years, most of them in
first grade. However, since making the switch to third grade last year, I've
enjoyed the older children very much and am looking forward to a new year.
My mission for the class is to create an atmosphere where the children can
develop a love for learning and a love for their faith. Respect for ourselves
and others is stressed. Learning to be responsible is stressed in all
aspects of our school day. I will work with parents to help instill in our
children a sense of individual responsibility that should be reinforced at home.
Learning should be fun, and therefore, I will try to combine thematic and
project-based teaching/learning as we work on the third grade curriculum.
