"Tune Into Your Teen"

Workshops Offered for Parents, Counselors, Anyone Working with Teens

PLAISTOW, N.H...On Tuesday, November 10, at 6:30 p.m. at the Timberlane
Performing Arts Center in Plaistow, a "Tune Into Your Teen" workshop will
focus on the emotional health and well-being of teen-aged youth in today's
complex world.

The workshop, "Should I Worry? When is Moodiness is a Sign of a Problem?"
will be conducted by Ann Duckless, MA, CPS. The workshop will be interactive
and discussion-based and will help attendees demystify some of the emotional
and physiological challenges of ages 13-20.

Parents, youth counselors, teachers, clergy, and anyone who works with or is
interested in this age group is encouraged to attend.

"Tune Into Your Teen" is being sponsored by the Timberlane Parent Teacher
Student Association in cooperation with the Timberlane Student Assistance
Program and the Southern Rockingham Coalition for Healthy Youth.
Registration is not necessary. For more information, contact Anne Isenberg
at 362-4499.

Senior Tea will be held December 5th, cookies and mini muffins (small breakfast foods) needed in the store-bought containers.
Please drop off to school on Friday, December 4th.

TRMS Discount Day - own a local business or know
of someone that does? Join in "TRMS PTSA Discount Day" December 5th and donate a % of your sales that day to TRMS PTSA. We will promote your business on our face book page and hand out flyers at our Senior Tea that day. Please contact Catherine Zerba for more information (617) 688-6024 (cell) or (603) 362-6250 (home).

Volunteers Needed:

At the TRMS PTSA, we encourage everyone to get involved in whatever capacity works for you. See the volunteer page for ways you can help, and then send in the volunteer form found on the forms page on this site. We are only as good as our members.

Our members are the reason we can sponsor many wonderful events such as the 6th Grade Halloween party, Staff Welcome Back Breakfast, Reflections arts competition, and Staff Appreciation Week, and help the school put on such a successful Magazine Drive, Senior Tea, book fair, Career Day, 8th Grade Farewell Celebration, and other events. Your membership dues, magazine orders and school apparel purchases help pay for many of these things, as well as additional PTSA and school programming, equipment, scholarships. So, thank you!!

TRMS Lost and Found Changes

TRMS collects lost items in a lost and found section in the cafeteria. This year, the school will only hold onto items for two weeks before giving them to charity. Please make sure that your child's name is in sweatshirts, jackets and sports clothes especially, so that they can be returned to your child if found. And let your child know that s/he should check the lost and found right away if missing an item. Last year, about $5,000 worth of clothes went unclaimed.
