Timberlane Middle School PTSA Announcements

TRMS PTSA Welcomes You!

TRMS PTSA is an organization of parents, teachers and students who are committed to helping Timberlane Regional Middle School be the best that it can be.  We usually meet on the second Monday of each month at 6:30 p.m. in the TRMS library. Our next meeting is Monday, Oct. 6. Any questions or comments? E-mail PTSA President Laura Lipfert at lipfertl@hotmail.com.

Membership Drive Started; Volunteers Needed:

At the TRMS PTSA, we encourage everyone to get involved in whatever capacity works for you. See the volunteer page for ways you can help, and then send in the volunteer and/or membership forms found on the forms page on this site.  We are only as good as our members.

And thank you to the 237 members and many volunteers that we have so far this year! Membership cards will be going home with progress reports on Oct. 8. You are the reason we can sponsor many wonderful events such as the 6th Grade Halloween party, Staff Welcome Back Breakfast, Reflections arts competition, and Staff Appreciation Week, and help the school put on such a successful Magazine Drive, Senior Tea, book fair, Career Day, 8th Grade Farewell Celebration, and other events. Your membership dues, magazine orders and school apparel purchases help pay for many of these things, as well as additional PTSA and school programming, equipment, scholarships. So, thank you!!

Reflections Theme Search

The national PTA needs a new theme for the 2010-2011 Reflections Program, and is willing to pay $100 for it. Maybe you have an idea that they can use! Entry forms are in the TRMS front office or at www.nhpta1.org. Submit your idea for a winning theme to the TRMS PTSA by Nov. 7, by placing your completed form in the TRMS PTSA box in the front office. Previous years' themes are listed at the Reflections page on this site.

"Wow!" us with your entry in the Reflections arts contest

Enter this year's Reflections Arts contest and win awards and recognition, and a chance to advance to the state and even national level. This year's theme is Wow!, so get out your cameras, sketchpads, notebooks, ballet slippers, and instruments and wow us with your creativity! Turn in your entries in the TRMS front office any time before 3 p.m. on Friday, Dec. 5, 2008. (This is a change from the Jan. 9, 2009 date posted earlier.) There will be NO deadline extensions this year. For more information on rules for the categories of literature, musical composition, photography, visual arts, dance choreography and film/video production, see the Reflections page.

TRMS Lost and Found Changes

TRMS collects lost items in a lost and found section in the cafeteria. This year, the school will only hold onto items for two weeks before giving them to charity. Please make sure that your child's name is in sweatshirts, jackets and sports clothes especially, so that they can be returned to your child if found. And let your child know that s/he should check the lost and found right away if missing an item. Last year, about $5,000 worth of clothes went unclaimed.

Needed: Coffee Maker, Platters, Table Linens

The PTSA is looking for a large coffee maker, serving platters and table linens. If you are cleaning out your house and want to get rid of those items, we may be able to use them. Please contact Laura Lipfert at lipfertl@hotmail.com or 362-4301.
