           Mrs. McNamara, Curriculum Supervisor 2007-2008

Welcome to the Curriculum Website.  As Curriculum Supervisor my job consists 
of the following:
l. Test Coordinator for Grades 4 and 7 Writing Assessment Test which will be 
administered on Nov. 7, 2007.
2. Test Coordinator for Terra Nova Tests which will be administered to Grades 
l to 7 during the week of March 3, 2008.
3. Teach Religion to the students in Grade 2 to prepare them for the 
sacraments of Reconciliation and First Eucharist.
4. Moderator for the Talented and Gifted Students (TAG) - plan and work with 
the students as they prepare a project for each marking period.
5. Supervising in the lunchroom
6. Resource Room
I will be looking forward to meeting you at the HSA meetings in the future.

TIMELINE
	Second Trimester TAG December 2007 to March 2008

  	“Are You Smarter Than a BPJ Student?”

The following timeline is a tentative one since we will need to coordinate 
some time with Miss Bette to prepare a power point for the presentation.  
Always be prepared in case Miss Bette can accommodate us in the computer lab.

The presentations will take place on March l3, 2008 for BPJ students and on 
April 3, 2008 at the Home School Association Report Card night.

Week of December l0, 2007

Advise students of the project – “Are You Smarter Than a BPJ Student?”
You will need to prepare l0 questions and answers in the following subject 
areas:  Religion, Math, Reading, Language Arts, Spelling, Science, and Social 
Studies.

I will advise you every week as to what book to bring to the TAG session the 
following week to prepare questions and answers.  Interesting questions and 
answers may be submitted to the program “Are You Smarter Than a Fifth 
Grader?”  If Your question is used, they announce the name of the school on 
the program.  For the week of December l7, please bring the Religion book to 
TAG session.

Week of December l7, 2007

Students will prepare l0 questions and answers in Religion.  The questions 
are to be written neatly and clearly on the front of an index card and the 
answers are to be written the same on the back of the index card.  Use the 
lined  side as the front of the card and the blank side as the answer side.  
Put your name and grade on the back of the card ex. Jack- gr. 2,  Luke – gr. 7

Bring Math books for the week of January 7, 2008.

Week of January 7, 2008

Students will prepare l0 questions and answers in Math.  Follow the same 
format as you did for Religion.  Bring Language Arts and Spelling books to 
TAG session for the week of January l4, 2008.

Week of January l4, 2008

Students will prepare l0 question and answers in Language Arts and Spelling. 
In Spelling make sure you know the definition of the word given to spell.  
Follow the same format in writing the questions and answers.  Bring Reading 
book to TAG session the week of January 2l, 2008.

Week of January 2l, 2008 – No school l/2l/08 Martin Luther King Day – I’ll 
try to reschedule grade 8 for Wednesday l/23/08.  Students will prepare l0 
questions and answers from their Reading books using the same format.  Bring 
Social Studies book to TAG session the week of  January 28, 2008.

Week of January 28, 2008 – Catholic Schools Week

Students will follow the same format making l0 questions and answers in 
Social Studies.  Bring Science book to TAG session week of February 4,2008.

Week of February 4, 2008

Prepare questions and answers for Social Studies using the same format.
After all questions and answers are completed students may practice with 
their peers.  Make sure all cards are organized according to subjects.

Weeks of February ll and l8 

Begin to organize game process.
Coordinate with Miss Bette – very important.
Make posters – advertising 

Week of February 25

Practice performance – time etc. to be announced

Week of March 3, 2008- Terra Nova Testing – 

May not be able to meet, except with grade 8, who can complete final details.

Practice, Practice, and more Practice!!!!!!!!!

REMEMBER:  ALWAYS BRING ALL CARDS TO TAG SESSIONS AND BE PREPARED IN CASE WE 
MUST MEET WITH MISS BETTE
MAKE USE OF THE TIME AT THE TAG SESSIONS SO WORK WILL BE COMPLETED AND WILL 
NOT NEED TO BE DONE AT HOME..
