When is snack time and what do I send in for snack?
We will be having afternoon snack this year, as the children will be eating
lunch at 11:00 p.m. and having recess at 11:30 p.m. Snack will be
tentatively scheduled for around 1 p.m.
Please send your child to school with a lunch box/bag with his/her name
clearly labeled with marker.
Healthy snacks may include: yogurt, fruit, pretzels, cheese, fruit snacks,
crackers, etc. Thank you!

Does my child have homework?
Homework started Monday: September 15th. There will be small tasks to
complete initially. As the year
progresses and your child is able to complete more challenging work, he/she
will receive activity sheets/projects to complete. Please make sure he/she is
in a quiet area and has a "homework box" with all supplies needed to complete
homework.

What is V.I.P. of the week?
V.I.P. (Very Important Person) of the Week will start the week of September
10th.A student will be chosen at random each week and given advance notice.
Each day of the following week, the student chosen will have a set list of
activities to complete.
*Monday-bring in a poster explaining all about yourself. You may
include pictures, drawings, words etc.
*Tuesday-Bring in your favorite book
and read it to the class!
*Wednesday-Bring in a favorite item from home!
(Show and Tell)
*Thursday-Recite your favorite nursery rhyme/sing your
favorite song to the class. Let us sing it with you! *Friday-Bring in a
small snack/treat to share with the class.
Thank you for your participation and cooperation in this fun activity that
will bring the entire class together!

How can I celebrate my child's birthday in school?
I ask that all parents bring in small cupcakes/munchkins, napkins and juice
boxes for the children at 2:00 p.m. if you'd like to celebrate your child's
birthday with us or drop them off during the day to our classroom.
Please keep in mind that these items should be foods children can easily
eat. Think EASY TO CLEAN UP! :) NO CAKE please.

What entails a Christian Service Day?
Christian Service Days are days set aside for certain dates each month. On
these days, you may donate $1 to wear regular clothes for the day. The
collection that is made on that day will go to a particular Christian
charity. Thank you for your contributions!
--------------------------------------
What are the school day hours?
The Kindergarten school day begins at 8:15 a.m. and ends at 3:05 p.m. I ask
that each child enter our school building by themselves. We are fostering
independence and responsibility and it starts this year! Thanks for your help!

How can I get in touch with Miss Passerini?
The absolute BEST way to contact me is through e-mail. I rarely get a chance
during the day to make a phone call and am usually tied up at the end of the
school day. I check my email very often so please use that route if you need
to get in touch with me at all. My email is linked to this webpage. If you
can't find it, it is: BPJKindergarten@gmail.com I will try to get back to
you as soon as I can.

Are there opportunities to volunteer in my child's class?
ABSOLUTELY! I am always looking for parents to come in to read to the class,
do a craft with them, share their career, bring in a favorite recipe to share
or help out with a class project. Please see me if you're interested! Fridays
are best!
