What is the best way to go about scheduling extra help for my child?

I am always available for extra help. Extra help sessions can be arranged
either before or after school. Before school, we can arrange for something
to begin at 7:30. After school sessions can begin at dismissal and run
until 4:00 (or as needed). The only thing that I ask is that if the session
is after school, you are punctual in picking your child up.

This year, I will try my best to make myself available after school the day
before any test to answer any last minute questions.

What are book buddies?

In order to reach our of goal of maintaining an "atmosphere of academic
achievement", all sixth grade students are required to carry a pleasure book
on their person at all times. At any given point in the school day (with
the exception being lunch) I can ask to see their book buddy and the student
must be able to show their current location in the book. There will be
about twenty spot checks per trimester, each one being worth five points
(becoming equal to one test grade).

There are plenty of books available in both our classroom library and in the
school library, along with books being used for their everyday classes.
