Students should be prepared for class everyday. Please bring your log,
Writer's Notebook, and independent reading books (in their bag) to class every
day.
These are our usual Homework Assignments;
Mondays:*Read 30 minutes and complete your reading log.
*Write 20 minutes in your Writer's Notebook.
*Explore new Words Their Way sort and cut words out. (Alternate weeks)
Tuesdays: *Read 30 minutes and complete your reading log.
*Write 20 minutes in your Writer's Notebook.
*Written Sort in your Words Their Way Notebook.
Wednesdays: *Read 30 minutes and complete your reading log.
*Write 20 minutes in your Writer's Notebook.
*Strong Sentences in your Words Their Way Notebook.
Thursdays: *Read 30 minutes and complete your reading log.
*Write 20 minutes in your Writer's Notebook
OR Reader's Response Letter in Reader's Workshop Notebook.
*Choice activity in your Words Their Way Notebook.
Fridays: *Read 30 minutes each night and complete your reading log. * You may
take a "night off" from reading over the weekend.
Reminders: *Read 30 minutes each night and once a week record your "thinking"
on the back of your Reading Log. Reading Logs should be signed by a
parent/guardian on Thursday nights and handed in on Fridays.
