How can I help my child in math?

The most important thing you can do is help your child learn his/her math 
facts. Math facts include adding, subtracting, multiplying and dividing one
digit numbers. Students will be stronger in math if they have memorized
their facts.

How many days should my child be reading?

Your child should be reading everyday for at least 20 minutes.  The material 
they are reading should be on their reading level.

What does my child learn in resource room?

The resource center offers as smaller teacher:child ratio.  If your child 
comes to resource room for math, your child is following the Everyday Math
curriculum at a pace that is appropriate for him or her. Reading and
writing also follow the mainstream curriculum with varying stategies to
help facilitate your child's learning.
