Through out the school year we will be learning how to recognize and use word families to decode words. For example, if your child can recognize the word family "at", then he/she should be able to read words: hat, cat, mat, fat, flat, chat, splat, etc... Please have your child identify these word families when decoding unfamiliar words. You may even want to use the word families below to practice making words!
