I have been teaching 7th, 8th or 9th grade for 20 + years. This
is my 12th year in EB. I grew up in East Brunswick, attended high school in
Pennsylvania, college in Philadelphia (B.S in Textile Chemistry), and
graduate school (M.Ed. in Science Education) at Rutgers University Graduate
School of Education.
I believe people learn best by doing. I strive to have students experience
science, not just read about it. It is also important to reflect on what we
have learned and to reinforce that knowledge. Students who actively engage
in their learning are likely to succeed.
